Bahraich: Manganu’s Chana is famous far and wide in Ramgaon, about 8 km from the city. Moreover, the taste of their Chana is so amazing that people keep lining up to get it. Sometimes their Chana is also ordered in meetings of government offices.

People say that his Chana is very tasty. Along with the people living nearby, people from far off places also come to eat Chana every day. Four varieties of chickpeas
Four varieties of Chana are available at Manganu’s. First among them is the hot Sohal Chana. It is made by mixing lemon and onion with Sohal papdi. People like the taste of this Chana a lot. Laiya Chana comes second. On the third place is Gada Chana which is made by heating it in hot oil. The Chana becomes crispy in this. On the fourth place is Mix Chana. This is how delicious Manganu chickpeas are prepared
About 30 to 35 kg of gram is washed and soaked overnight. In the morning, when these grams are sprouted, they are washed with two waters. After washing, they are kept in a strainer and waited for the water to drain out. After draining the water, the gram reaches Manganu’s shop directly, where it is prepared for sale. Then onion-lemon, masala, churmuri is mixed in it and served to the people.
